The REACCT project is targeted to support higher education on economics of climate change, as climate neutrality is the cornerstone of the European Green Deal Policy. Facing the evidence on the insufficient presence of climate change related topics in the study programmes, the main goal of this project is to make learning about climate change a priority in higher education in the field of business and economics. By this we want to enhance civic engagement in the implementation of EC Climate Action.
The project activities include the preparation of innovative educational content, based on the results of discussion forums with the scientific and business communities. The results are expected to contribute to supporting graduates of economic universities in their preparation for new professional roles related to the green transition process and the pursuit of climate neutrality goals.

REACCT unites 7 partners from 6 countries in a strategic partnership that combines the unique expertise and resources of each partner. Our consortium includes renowned universities and experienced sustainability NGOs, ensuring a balanced mix of academic rigour and practical know-how.
Nowadays, education on climate change is essential. Our project is designed to bring this topic to the curricula of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), by enhancing knowledge and skills of future economists. Therefore, in the REACCT project we aim at developing the educational content in the topic of economics of climate change, as well as the innovative teaching and educational methods within.
Looking at the detailed scheme of Climate Action, there are numerous areas that require an economic-oriented and expertise-wise level of knowledge. To fulfil this mission, REACCT will develop educational programmes in collaboration with business experts in the field, to better understand the needs of the labour market.
we deliver the well-designed and reliable study content in the field of economics of climate change.

By helping teachers and learners, to deliver highly skilled employees, who understand the interlinks between economics and climate change, REACCT will enhance the real implementation of EGD and support the achievements of its goals and targets.
Development of educational materials
Research and innovation for education
On-site and on-line activities to foster engagement and build the community
We will develop the “EduBoxes” packs that will contain educational content, definitions of the learning outcomes, and suggestions on transversal and inclusive teaching methods to deliver the content. Moreover, REACCT team will design an innovative and flexible framework for educating on climate change at HEIs level, based on the EduBoxes architecture, including the solutions suitable for microcredentials use.
To explore the priorities of education in economics of climate change we want to foster civic engagement by bringing together HEI educators, academic experts, business community and NGOs. Educators and academic experts will be involved in the “Task Force for education in economics of climate change”, that will be followed by the involvement of the business community and the NGOs in dedicated fora, with the aim to learn on their expectations for knowledge and skills substantial to green collar professions.
HEIs experts and management staff will also be involved in consultations of the innovative flexible framework of implementing EduBoxes into the curricula of the existing study programmes.
